Florida Waters Remain Threatened
This summer, Florida PIRG launched a campaign to win stronger protections for three of the state’s most treasured waterways—Wakulla Springs in north Florida, Cypress Creek in Tampa Bay and the Everglades.

Referendum Will Allow Voters To Say No To Coal
Faced with some of the highest soot-forming air pollution levels in the state, the City of Tallahassee is considering investing in a new sootproducing power plant—a coal- fired power plant in north Florida that would further degrade the Big Bend region’s air quality.
